With only two weeks left, and with a number of Cub Scouts away each week with School plays and carols, we decided to just have a couple of fun nights to see out the rest of the term.

We started the night with a snowball relay, with the Cub Scouts having to run to the end of the hall and then collect a cotton wool snowball by sucking it up with a straw.

Two snowballs each, but everyone was out of breath by the end!

We then played Santa Says, a version of Simon Says but with Santa. ‘Oh thats so easy’ they all cried out, but it wasn’t long before they were all being caught out by sneaky Santa.

Time for a little crafting, and we all made Snowman cups and then stacked them up ready to knock down with our white sock snowballs.

We followed this with Sweet Wrap Mitten relay. The Cub Scouts had to don some mittens, or in this case garden gloves, and run down the hall to collect a sweet. They returned back and had to unwrap the sweet whilst wearing their gloves, a task far harder than they expected.

A little more crafting, this time we made Santa cards with white fluffy beards using our hands as templates.

Leaving us with just enough time to tell  the story of the Helpful mouse and hand out a few badges before it was time to go home.
