The last 4 weeks of Cub Scouts have been building up to this day when 4 Canungra Cub Scouts along with 8 Paradise Point Cubs, and 1 Scout, boarded the train up to Brisbane to visit the Queensland Museum:

It took about 1 hour to get there, and with everyone sitting and talking away the time soon passed. Upon arrival we checked in with the museum and had some morning tea, plus a few minutes to look at the exhibitions in the group entrance area.

After our snacks we headed up to the 2nd floor and had a few minutes looking at the lost animals display.

Before heading up to the first part of the NASA exhibition.

The display was so large it had to cover two floors of the museum, so we headed downstairs to see the second part.

Everyone was starving by now so we headed back down to the groups area and had some lunch, before taking the lifts up to level 4 of the museum and visiting the Wild State exhibition. Here we got to travel through 5 difference Australian environments and see the animal which live and have lived there.

We ended our time in the museum with some time in the Anzac Legacy Gallery where the Cub Scouts got to see how events on the other side of the world had some a lasting impact on Australia.

All that was left now was to get back to the train station and head back down to the Gold Coast, a little more tired but much more learned than when we departed in the morning.
