Our first night back in term 3 started with a game of Noodle Marco Polo. One Scout was blindfolded and given a pool noodle, they then had to call out “marco” and the other Scouts reply “polo”. The blindfolded person had to follow the sound and try to swipe somebody with the noodle, once successful the hit person became ‘it’ and the game continued.

We then moved on to going back over the Scoutcraft knots, everybody quickly showed the reef knot and clove hitch and then with a couple of pointers got the Sheetbend back in to memory. One of the older Scouts then showed a quick and easy way to do a rolling hitch and everybody was completing that fine too.

We then did some square and diagonal lashings, we will no doubt go over those again before too long.

Then it was off outside to create some temporary shelters, unfortunately the camera was not quite up to the job of working in darkness.

Lastly we had a few minutes to talk about the patrol activity, an the date of 11th August was decided upon and it has been booked in already with Escape Manor in Brisbane.

Then time for Parade, and two Scouts got their Pioneer Citizenship badges and one Art badge.
