Term 2 has begun, and for the first 5 weeks we have had to relocate to another hall while our regular one is renovated. This of course limits our options a little, as many resources are stored in the regular hall, so we will be spending the next few weeks working on the Citizenship badge.

However as always we started the night with a game, this time Balloon Football. The scouts were split in to two groups who sat feet to feet opposite each other, they then had to try and hit a balloon over the opposing teams heads so they could not reach it to return it.

The game ended 6:5, though which team scored the 6 depends upon who you talked to.

Afterwards the older Scouts helped to teach the newer members how to control bleeding, treat a nose bleed, treat burns and scalds, tie up a fracture and using a Scout scarf to create slings and bandages.

We then continued our discussions with a change of topic, bullying. The Scouts watched a short video by Scouts Australia on Breaking the Cycle, you can view the video yourself on YouTube.

The Scouts then broken up in to groups to discuss come up with a group code of conduct, we were running out of time at this point so this will be concluded in a future week.

A few things they came up with so far:

It would be great if everyone could think more about this and come in prepared next week with more ideas.
